Pike County Area Rehabilitation Center is a private, non-profit corporation serving Pike County citizens with developmental disabilities. PCARC was started in 1974 by a small group of concerned parents and community leaders. Since 1988, PCARC has operated under the administration of Gibson County Area Rehabilitation Center.
Pike County Area Rehabilitation Center provides a variety of services to adults and children with developmental disabilities. Our programs include:
- Residential living: Basic developmental group homes
- Medicaid Waiver supported living: A work center offering both production opportunities and habilitation training.
- New Frontiers: Our community job placement program which works in partnership with the Indiana State Office of Vocational Rehabilitation.
